History
In 1975 five well-established companies from three different European countries (Italy, France and Germany) decided to pool their skills to create a new company. Through acquisitions, alliances and international joint ventures, Iveco has built up its position among the world leaders on the road transport scene.
Today it has manufacturing plants in Europe, China, India, Russia, Turkey, Australia, Argentina, Brazil and South Africa and it is present in over 160 countries. Iveco offers products that meet all the needs of professional transport. Its range is one of the most comprehensive, and has been entirely revamped since 2007. Iveco has always been a leader in the field of innovation, both where engines are concerned (it was the first company to introduce the turbo throughout its diesel range, the first to adopt Common Rail engines and the first to launch EuroV

Daily 4×4
New Daily 4×4 competes in a small but very important market niche of working 4×4 vehicles. It is a market that has grown over the years reflecting the importance of the market segment; that of professional all wheel drive vehicles that are able to go anywhere and are expected to do so, typically with users such as utility companies and specialist applications. New Daily 4×4 comes in two vehicle mass categories; 3.5 t and 5.5 t and two wheelbases, 3050 mm short wheelbase and 3400 mm long wheelbase versions. The new Daily is available with either of the two wheelbases with the short cab or the long wheelbase only for the crew cab version.
3.5 t versions have plated axle loads of 2250 kg front and 2800 kg rear while 5.5 t versions have 2450 kg front and 3700 kg at the rear
Thanks to its design, the New Daily 4×4 guarantees the performance of a true off-road vehicle:
Departure angle 51°,
Approach angle 31° for the short and 27° for the long wheelbases,
Departure angle (with rear bar raised) 42° short and 36° long wheelbases, fording depth up to 700 mm.
The vehicle can be equipped with 5 types of power take-offs for operation of external equipment through hydraulic pumps.
The CAN-Bus architecture with “expansion module” allows the electric/electronic system of the vehicle to interface with the systems on the ancillary equipment: this way all of the connections pass through a standard connection. New Daily 4×4 offers the best combination of payload and off-road performance in the light truck category and guarantees mobility on any route, in any climate and with any road surface condition.
This product is the result of a rigorous off-road set up thanks to truck-derived chassis(side-members in special steel with a 5 mm thick C section) which makes it suitable for difficult missions with specific customizations such as snow ploughs and cranes; permanent all wheel drive transmission with three available differential locks (front, rear, central); 24 forward gear ratios and 4 reverse overall with the possibility of selecting the first synchronized reduction (half speed) with the vehicle in motion; parabolic suspension with live front axle.
Eurocargo 4×4
The Eurocargo 4×4 is simultaneously the most versatile and the most specialised vehicle in its class: 2 gross vehicle weight variants (11.5t and 15t), 3 power ratings (220 to 280 HP), Six-speed manual transmission, also available with integrated power take-off, 4 wheelbases (from 3,240 to 4,150 mm) and 2 types of cab (day and sleeper with low roof). The Eurocargo is a powerhouse off-road too: the 4×4 versions can tackle the most demanding jobs with surprising agility for a vehicle with such high load capacity. The Eurocargo 4×4 has earned plaudits not just for its ruggedness and reliability, but for its technical characteristics too, including high levels of traction, dauntless capability in the face of obstacles and steep gradients, and ease of handling even in the most demanding conditions.
To ensure long, trouble-free service-life, the New Eurocargo 4×4 uses an outstandingly strong rolled frame, with the mechanical qualities you’d expect from a heavy vehicle, but lower tare weight. Thanks to its chassis frames with C-section sidemembers in high-yield-strength steel (Fe420), it can readily withstand the stresses generated by an unbalanced load or sudden change of trajectory. To enhance the long-term protection of metal surfaces, certain components have been improved, and anti-abrasion and anti-corrosion treatments with Tectyl are available as an option.
The ZF six-speed manual gearboxes are fitted with a servoshift system for easy gear-changing even in the most demanding work conditions. Permanent four-wheel drive is provided by a longitudinal differential, which distributes torque between the front and rear axles. What’s more, you can select a fast or slow distributor ratio, according to conditions (on/off road). All the differentials are equipped with a manually operated locking system to ensure traction even in especially adverse, low-grip conditions.
Eurocargo 4×4 is fitted with a double-reduction rear axle and is available in versions with single or twin wheels. Braking comes courtesy of simplex drum brakes on the rear axle and duplex drums up front, while you can specify either parabolic or semi-elliptical leaf spring suspension.
